The Tiberius cologne, named in honor of the Mirror Universe James T. Kirk’s challenges users to "Boldly Go" with a perfume described as being spiked with "notes of freshness and sensuality." According to Genki Wear, the perfume has sweet citron zest, black pepper, and cedar as its top notes (top notes refers to those scents that are noticeable first) and warm vanilla, white musk, and sandalwood as its base notes (scents perceived last, usually about a half hour after application). Genki Wear promises that "Tiberius Cologne for men is difficult to define and impossible to refuse" which is also a pretty good description of the Mirror Kirk himself.

Genki’s "Red Shirt" cologne (whose tag line "Because Tomorrow May Never Come" is priceless) celebrates the sacrifices of those often nameless crew of the USS Enterprise. Described appropriately as a cologne for those with a "devotion to living each day as it could be your last" the cologne has top notes of green mandarin, bergamot, and lavender, with base notes of leather and grey musk.

Greetings once again, the Geekadrome is going to be host to another great moment in gaming. This Saturday the RPGA is going to be celebrating the coming of the D&D Player's Handbook 2 for 4th edition, and they are opening the game room to all players who want to join up, and play with them this saturday. Just show up , fill out a DCI card (if you don't already have one) and play. Players get a free mini. And the games will start at 11 Am and run till ???. if you can't be there at 11, they will be running three games through out the day. More info available at the store, and through the RPGA. Also be sure to keep in touch for our upcoming geekadrome anniversary, with a very special guest appearance by local comic book artist Kevin Thomas who will be giving out info on some of his short run comic series he has in the works and exhibiting his work at the store! WOOT!

Geekadrome Hosts Winter Game Day Jan. 24th

 

Magic, Warhammer 40K, Zombies games scheduled

  – Pittsburgh game players are invited to the Geekadrome store in Brookline on Saturday, January 24 for some old school card & board games - come out to play or just watch!  

 

Pre-registration is not required but the player slots will fill up quickly, so players are encouraged to be there early to get a spot.  If you don’t know how to play, there will be demos - and everyone who shows up will be entered in door prize drawings.

 

Games offered will include:

 

Magic: The Gathering

• A collectible card game featuring battling wizards, combining luck and skill
• Casual constructed game starts at noon with a $4 buy in
• Sealed deck tournament starts at 5 PM with a $24 buy in
• Limit 14 players per game

 

Warhammer 40K

• A tabletop war game with armies of sci-fi miniatures competing against each other on model battlefields constructed by each player
• Set up between noon and 1 PM
• $3 buy in
• Limit 8 players
• Contact Geekadrome if you’d like to store your game board in advance

 

Zombies!!!

• A tile-based strategy board game set in a zombie-infested town
• Game starts at 9 PM
• $4 buy in
• Limit 6 players

About Geekadrome:

 

Geekadrome is a comic and hobby shop located in the Brookline section of Pittsburgh, easily accessible by car, bus or foot.  The store also carries games and game supplies, modeling supplies, t-shirts and movie posters and holds regular tournaments including Magic, Warhammer 40K, D&D and other RPG’s.

This Friday is our usual: "Casual Constructed". 3.00 buy in. Mostly all cards allowed. No infinite combos. No fancy special rules.

Next Friday is the FREE FOR ALL OF DOOM!!!1!
4.00 buy in. Everyone who shows up plays at the same time in one huge multi-player free for all. Prizes are given for various acheivments such as most permanents destroyed in one turn, largest creature at any one time, highest life total at any one time, etc, etc, etc...

For those that haven't gotten to visit us in a while Saturdays have become awesome. We have quite a few varieties of gamers that frequent the Drome throughout the week, but on saturday pretty much everybody shows up.

It's definitly proving to be the best day to try and get a game of Warhammer going. It's been 40K mostly been quite a few people have shown an interest in fantasy lately ( the mind-blowing MMO is helping with that I think).

And from nearly the begining saturday's been the day for RPG sessions. Jeremy's Heroes Unlimited game has been going very well, and I plan to start (or try to start) my D&D 3.5 Forgotten Realms Campaign on the 20th.

But anyway, yeah, saturday have quite been spiffy.


Oh, one last thing! We will be closing at 3:00 pm sat December 13th

Lo' and behold! ask and ye shall recieve. we have recently recieved in several new geeky shirts. We have recieved tons of different shirts, from Hulk to wolverine, to even the ever wanted Monroville zombies shirts featured in Keven Smith's new movie!

Finnaly here at last, the new spacemarine spearhead set has come in, and we have two sitting in the store. and you can buy it now, as opposed to getting some of the individual parts that won't beavailable until late next week! also we have more Battle of Black Reach sets. And we have finnaly got in the new Series Two of our ever popular Gears of War figure line, including the Ultra-rare Locus Figure. and next week we should be getting all kindsa New stuff from MTG!

ok, gotta be quick, but big things have been happening at the 'drome. for one, we finnaly got our card machine, so yes, now we except Mastercard, and visa debit/credit cards. Also we have built the first of our Game tables for table top war games like Warhammer, 40k, and Lord of the Rings. plus we have recieved the new 40k assault on blackreach starter! W00t!

I found this story where Some Kid Dressed up as the Joker (from The Dark Knight) and ran into a movie theatre and started stealing abunch of posters and stuff. It's funny as hell, but they really are letting him have it. here is the story.
